Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MajorMatch.me and any related products or services (collectively, the "Service"). Please review them carefully and discontinue use if you do not agree.

1. Acceptance of Terms

  • •By accessing or using MajorMatch.me or any related products, services, or applications (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and all applicable laws and regulations.

2. Eligibility and Jurisdiction

  • •The Service is controlled and operated from within the United States, and MajorMatch LLC makes no representations that the Service is appropriate or available for use in other locations.

3. Nature of the Service

  • •MajorMatch is an entertainment and information platform designed to help users explore potential college majors and related interests through interactive quizzes, games, and AI-generated content.
  • •The Service is for informational and educational exploration only and should not be construed as professional, academic, psychological, or career advice.
  • •AI-generated responses are based on probabilistic models and may contain inaccuracies or incomplete information. You should independently verify any educational or career-related recommendations through official sources.
  • •MajorMatch LLC does not guarantee outcomes, matches, or accuracy of any generated results.

4. Account and Access

  • •You may be required to sign in using Google OAuth or another authentication method to access certain features. You agree that all information you provide is accurate and current.
  • •You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • •MajorMatch reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or compromise the integrity or security of the Service.

5. Acceptable Use

  • •You agree not to misuse the Service or assist anyone in doing so. Prohibited activities include:
  • •• Interfering with or disrupting the integrity, availability, or performance of the Service;
  • •• Attempting unauthorized access to systems, data, or other user accounts;
  • •• Using bots, scrapers, or automated scripts to collect or manipulate data;

6. Intellectual Property

  • •All content, features, graphics, user interfaces, logos, and software underlying the Service are owned by or licensed to MajorMatch LLC and are protected under U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and trade secret laws.
  • •You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service solely for personal, non-commercial purposes.
  • •You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, display, or create derivative works from any portion of the Service without prior written consent from MajorMatch LLC.

7. User Content

  • •You retain ownership of any text, responses, or data you submit or generate through the Service (“User Content”).
  • •By submitting or interacting with the Service, you grant MajorMatch LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and analyze your User Content solely for operating, improving, and providing the Service.
  • •You represent that you have all rights necessary to provide such content and that it does not infringe or violate the rights of any third party.

8. Disclaimers and No Warranties

  • •THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
  • •MAJORMATCH LLC DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
  • •We make no guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that content will be accurate, complete, or up to date.
  • •You assume all responsibility for your use of the Service and any reliance on its output.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • •To the fullest extent permitted by law, MajorMatch LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, or agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
  • •In no event shall MajorMatch’s total liability exceed the greater of fifty U.S. dollars ($50) or the amount you paid (if any) to use the Service in the six months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

  • •You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MajorMatch LLC, its members, officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

  • •We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.
  • •Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Sections regarding intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law will survive termination.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

  • •These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, excluding its conflict-of-law principles.
  • •Any disputes arising under or related to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, unless otherwise required by law.
  • •You and MajorMatch agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally before resorting to formal legal action.

13. Changes to Terms

  • •We may modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page with a new Effective Date.
  • •Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
